Homemade Grilled Chicken Gyros

Ingredients

{Grilled Chicken Gyros}

  • 1 pita bread

  • 2 tbsp homemade tzatziki (recipe below)

  • 3 oz grilled chicken (grilled in garlic powder, paprika, salt & pepper)

  • Tomato slices

  • Red onion

  • @mtvikos Traditional Feta Cheese

{Homemade Tzatziki Sauce}

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt

  • ~1/4 cup diced cucumber

  • 2 tbsp finely chopped dill

  • Juice from 1/2 lemon

  • Parmesan cheese to taste (~1 tsp)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

 

Instructions

  • Begin by combining all the ingredients for your homemade tzatziki sauce & set aside

  • Toast pita lightly until desired crispyness (I do ~4 minutes on each side over medium heat)

  • Spread 2 tbsp homemade tzatziki onto pita

  • Layer in chicken, tomato slices, red onion & feta cheese

  • For an extra kick, you can add a little bit more tzatziki on top

  • Wrap & enjoy the delicious flavors
